Punalu'u Productions is offering up to 4 hours of musical entertainment for very affordable and inexpensive prices that include lights and fog machines. We undersell every other DJ service in town that can even come near the type and size of equipment we provide.

We are now branching out of San Antonio, and serving the entire South and Central Texas area. Additional fees may apply to compensate for travel.

We have been serving the musical entertainment business, both as a DJ service and various bands, since the summer of 1984. That's right, 27 years.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. The majoriety of events I normally work are Weddings, Quince's and Sweet 16's. Although, I have been privy to some pretty crazy house parties.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be considerate of ALL your guests. Be sure to have a vast variety of musical styles so that everyone who attends your event can walk away saying that they too had a great time.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I still believe in customer service. It should be an honor FOR ME to be part of YOUR special day or event. Not the other way around.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What differentiates you from the other D.J. services out there?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I charge a reasonable price for the service and equipment I provide. I still believe highly in customer service. I make every effort to work well with and compliment other vendors. I don't show up with an entourage. You won't find anyone associated with me or on my website that resemble street thugs or gangsters. Lastly, I run a class act DJ Service.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I get to meet so many great people and I'm at a different party or family celebration every weekend.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. Momzilla the Tyrant, The Grand March, and the one time we felt we actually refunded the wrong deposit. - see Carnac The Magnificient @ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Carnac.jpg

Oh yea, let's not forget the beautiful blonde that said..."if you play a song for me...I'll dance for you"...(with my wife standing directly behind me)

...OF COURSE...YOU BET I PLAYED IT!!!

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. My college major/degree was actually in Radio, Television and Film...but somehow ended up working in Law Enforcement for the last 25 years. Now, I'm doing what I've always wanted to do & love and actually doing it working for myself instead of answering to some Radio/TV Program Director.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Everything is going digital and L.E.D. No more hauling cases and cases of CD's and heavy lighting equipment.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. We DON'T have a complicated pricing system. I have set package fees. You pick the package you want. We don't charge set up fee's either. That would be like calling a plumber and having him charge you more to bring or use his tools. We DON'T charge different pricing depending on the venue or event. We could very easily charge over $1000 or more for the service we provide...but we don't and that it strictly by choice.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. To be successful...you must treat your customers as if THEY are the stars of the show. NOT YOU. You must remember that it's all about the Bride/Groom or Debutante.

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. What types of Social Media do you participate in?

We only communicate via e-mail, our web site and you can alway call us on the telephone.

We DO NOT, WILL NOT ever participate or have Twitter, Facebook or My Space accounts.
