Hi! - I'm Marty Ruona, a certified master gardener and continuous owner of my own landscaping business, established in 1986.
In recent years many San Antonio homeowners have gradually lost their often expensive yards to the effects of the successive droughts we've experienced. Plants that thrived when we were allowed to water did fine, until water restrictions were enacted. With every new season of drought, our landscapes became progressively sparser. Now we're disappointed and ready to give up, because everyone's yard looks equally abandoned.
You don't want your home to lack curb appeal. Do you know your yard can still bloom and even thrive in these conditions? That's right. Plants will tolerate the heat, and grow in a water-poor environment. All that prevents you from tackling this is being unsure what to do about it, what plants to use, and what to avoid.
TEAM RHINAMIC can provide improved curb appeal, with a yard make-over in a day sometimes. Let us show you how to maximize the dramatic appeal of your aesthetically designed yard, while reducing the actual amount of time you spend tending it.
During our consult, we'll discuss your goals, and how to best match them to your ideal lifestyle. Maybe we reduce the amount of lawn, and go with bigger garden beds with xeriscape designs. Perhaps your dream has been to grow organic foods. Or is it time to add that hard scape, deck, patio, or outdoor kitchen you've been dreaming about? Never thought about an outdoor space, because you don't know how to create shade?
It's all about your dreams and goals. each dream can be broken down onto affordable phases. If a consult is all you need to get you started, talk to us. If the dream is yours, and we do the work in phases, that's the implementation plan we conceptualize for you.
Consult fees: $100.00/hour
Plan rendering: $300.00 up depending on complexity
Estimates: $150.00 each ** will be credited to the final invoice
Once you call us, your project will take on a life of it's own. call today to get started.

I have used Marty and his team for both personal and commercial renovation projects and landscape projects.
Marty has the ability to work with the client to incorporate their ideas and to visualize the final outcome of a project. He is skilled and competent at looking at alternative plans and achieving long term goals. At the same time, he communicates short term goals as he moves the project along in a timely and systematic manner. I have learned to have complete faith that when I enlist the work of his company, I will be more than pleased with the outcome. Marty and his team have earned my respect and my confidence as I have been able to go on with my own duties, leaving them in confidence, to do their work with no worry on my part.

After initial consultation with Marty, Team Rhinamic comes prepared to transform the living space in an efficient and professional manner. I am owner of the High Wire Art gallery in down town San Antonio Texas. Team Rhinamic has transformed my exisitng asphault "back yard" parking lot into an Urban Oasis! An unbeleivable transformation to display art and entertain clients.
Martys general contracting and constructions skills are a backdrop for his innate artistic sense of garden design and modern uraban living spaces. His knowledge of the use of appropriate landscape plants and materials is essentail because the plants keep looking great over time.
Marty is first and foremost a master gardener. After I told Malcom Beck, a succesfull organic gardener since 1959 and owner of Gardenville, that I was working with Marty, Malcom stated that "Marty is the best horticulturalist he knows" . Combine that with over 25 years of contracting service and you have Team Rhinamic. A quick, efficient, professional, reasonably priced service for amazing transformational makeovers of personalized living spaces or buisnesses. Thanks to Team Rhinamic for transforming our lives!

Over the past 15+ years I’ve had the joy and pleasure of working side by side with Marty gathering and planting 100’s of cactus plants from all over S. Texas. Marty is truly a master cactus GURU with PASSION. I have learned so much from Marty, his work is more like art than it is like gardening. I strongly suggest if you want a professional helping you install or maintain a Texas Garden you should get a bid from Marty. PS. I’ve always volunteered to help Marty because I learn so much; I know you will experience the same I have if you let Marty help you with your garden.

Marty invaded the house across the street from me in about 1985. His work there and other very local projects has pulled this part of the community up by it's bootstraps. (The picture with the cool mailbox is my front yard. He designed and built it all with his team. He does the woodworking and artwork, of course.) Homeowners for blocks around started fixing up their places, either with his help or on their own. I believe it is due largely to his influence. He has since expanded well beyond the neighborhood and the confines of San Antonio. I've seen many of his works in progress and the finished products. Part construction after some destruction, if needed. Mostly design with a flair for the 'not commonly seen.' All very well organized with every preparation already made and materials gathered. Every one, a 'turn key' project. Materials brought in, all of the work done and the waste hauled away. He doesn't call it a completed project until he's good with it, although you can be involved every step of the way if that's what you want.

Marty is an artist and using many media to express beauty. His landscapes are amazing! His yard is many splendored, and my favorite place to be on the planet.
Marty colors are now a collection in one of the paint manufacturers--the world is starting to catch up to him. He uses vibrant happy colors in paint and plants--more purple in the world, a good thing indeed.
Marty designs space for you to live in, or out. His outdoor rooms and kitchens and gardens draw us outside, making great use of our incredible climate. Marty will turn your dreams and desires into design and then reality.

A. Do your homework..... Have an idea of what you want...... Not necessarily the details, but think through the why's and what's....... And....... Establish a budget!....... It is easier to maximize folks budgets than it is to over design and disappoint with too high a cost estimate......drive around your neighborhood or adjacent neighborhoods........write down address you like the landscape at....we can revisit them....and clarify what It is that intrigues you about each one you wrote down....great way to design something for YOU!....
A. I pay attention to my clients wishes........I do not design for my ego.....I design to please my clients.......I suggest all sorts of plants/structure/etc......sometimes it's like an interview I do of them......trying to key in on the big picture, and what THEY are trying to accomplish.....
A. I get to incorporate all sorts of different plants, in different soils, in locations that are amazing.....when I get done with a project......it is rewarding to hear their thank you's....
A. I deal in many different cacti......and always get asked if i get stuck with the needles.....well.... I lie.....and tell them "not yet!"......of course after 25 years handing these cactus I get stuck....silly question......
A. I designed a sitting arbor for a family.....adjacent their existing patio.....in an area in full view of their great room, but was always a disappointing garden......and turned it into their favorite part of their home.......for under $15K......
A. I am a master gardener.... did extensive training in 1992......class VII.......since then I am involved with all the suppliers....asking them all sorts of questions.......Malcolm Beck of GardenVille fame is my soil mentor.....and a good reference.......all the nurserymen around each have an abundance of knowledge concerning this passion we call gardening.....
A. soils....organic soils.....we now create custom soil blends for individual gardens....according to the micro climates...ie....full sun -vs- partial shade....soils for specific plant species.....ie...rose soil......fruit tree soil....cactus and succulent soils......nothing grows good in San Antonio soils, except what grows alongside 1604.....!.......
A. can you plant these plants for me?.........first, I almost always change or improve the soils into which I plant.....so if you have already purchased the plants you want, chances are good your soil is just the crud that came in your yard, with the house......this is a recipe for average......plant nursery plants directly into a yard......where's the interest in that?.......and never plant any three plants in a straight row.....
