Tye is perhaps the best guitar instructor in Texas, if not in the entire South Central United States. He knows guitar and he knows how to teach guitar. Tye also has the patients of a stone (no pun intended), and knows when and how to make students me in particular feel relaxed and to bring out the best in playing the guitar. I am a senior adult who started learning and playing guitar late in life. I have had many instructors through the years, college, military, sports, and Tye is among the best I have seen. He is always prepared, and more importantly always ensures his students are prepared. I have seen Tye working with students of all ages and experiences, from five year olds to old men like me, from beginners to leads in local bands, and he always has something to teach, his approach and method makes learning natural, and he is a nice, easy going guy as well. I highly recommend Tye to anyone who wants to truly learn to play guitar and more importantly to learn how to make good music with their guitar.

Tye si a fine musician who taught my oldest daughter to play the guitar three years ago when she was eleven. He is not working with her right now as she is playing very well and is capable of singing while she plays. We are planning to get some additional lessons from Tye in the near future as we think she is ready to advance.
