Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Our business is into a lot of Bridal makeup but we can also do HD for television and print work. We've been hired to do makeup for corporate videos as well.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We specialize in a more natural detailed look to bring out your best features. Glam makeup is also a specialty. Private lessons are available too! Bring in your favorite Hollywood look and we can teach you how to achieve that.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. We take time to ask questions so that we can give you the look you want. With over 17 years of experience, communication is key. Our business is based heavily on referrals and repeat business.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I've loved makeup since I was a kid. After working in retail cosmetics for 9 years, it is safe to assume that I know what's out there and what really works for each individual person.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. My most proud moment was when the designer Carolina Herrera came to town to do her fashion show. Not only was I chosen to be her private makeup artist, I also had the opportunity to create and teach the look to the team of artists that were assigned to the fashion show. It was an honor to work with such an accomplished woman.
Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?
A. I love how companies have developed lines of airbrush makeup for the everyday consumer. Now you can have that flawless red carpet look without the cakiness of a liquid and powder combination. It feels weightless and lasts up to 18 hours. We can all be movie stars now!
