FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do my best to be fair with my pricing and consider the customer. Customers who schedule regular maintenance tunings with me can expect to spend about $80. Regular care is important for your piano since the lack of yearly tunings can result in the need for pitch raises. First time customers can expect to spend roughly $100-$160 depending on if and how many pitch raises are needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know the customer and what their goals are. Your Instrument is an extension of yourself. It’s my responsibility to make sure your piano is in a condition to represent you. I like to discuss my customers specific needs via call or text to make sure I bring any extra tools or parts needed to get your piano into great shape! While tuning your piano I will also take a look at all your pianos parts so that you know what condition they are in.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have formal education with Majors in Voice and Piano. I have years of experience working with my own Instruments and those of people in my circle. I have apprenticed with others who have years of experience. I am well versed in many piano repairs and and rebuilding techniques as well. I am also currently a technician for local piano stores and workshops.
