FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Once I take measurements, I can give you indicative pricing on the spot (step 1 in the process detailed below). Our cabinets are made of 5/8 Birch plywood with a Poplar face frame and the doors are Poplar with 1/4 Birch plywood for the panel. Our kitchen cabinets are priced with doors and standard drawers that are needed. We also include the cost of molding (5inch) and installation. For example, corner storage with a lazy Susan is additional for hardware.

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring kitchen cabinet makers, the following specific considerations can help you find a skilled and reliable professional: Portfolio and Previous Work: Ask for a portfolio of their previous kitchen cabinet projects. This will give you an idea of their style, craftsmanship, and the quality of their work. If possible, visit completed projects or view photos. References: Request references from past clients who had similar kitchen cabinet work done. Speaking to these references can provide insights into the cabinet maker's professionalism, reliability, and the durability of their work. Customization Abilities: If you are looking for custom cabinets, ensure the cabinet maker has experience in customization. Discuss your specific requirements, and see if they can provide solutions tailored to your needs. Materials and Quality: Inquire about the materials they use for cabinet construction. Quality materials are crucial for the longevity and durability of the cabinets. Make sure they use materials that align with your preferences and budget. Design Expertise: Check if the cabinet maker has design expertise or works with a designer. A good cabinet maker should be able to provide input on functional design aspects, ensuring your cabinets are not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical. Communication Skills: Effective communication is key. Ensure the cabinet maker understands your vision and is able to communicate clearly about the project timeline, budget, and any potential challenges. Cost Estimate and Transparency: Obtain a detailed cost estimate for the project. Make sure the cabinet maker is transparent about their pricing structure and any potential additional costs. A clear understanding of the financial aspect is crucial. Timeline and Project Management: Discuss the expected timeline for the project and their approach to project management. A reliable cabinet maker should be able to provide a realistic timeframe and keep you informed about progress. Warranty and After-Sales Service: Inquire about the warranty or guarantee on their work. A good cabinet maker stands by their craftsmanship and should be willing to address any issues that may arise after installation. Insurance and Licensing: Ensure the cabinet maker is properly licensed and insured. This provides protection for both parties in case of accidents, damages, or any unforeseen events during the project. Cleanup and Disposal: Clarify who will be responsible for the cleanup and disposal of materials after the installation. This ensures a smooth and hassle-free completion of the project. Local Regulations: Familiarize yourself with local regulations and building codes related to kitchen renovations. Ensure the cabinet maker is aware of and complies with these regulations. By carefully considering these factors, you increase the likelihood of hiring a skilled and reliable kitchen cabinet maker who can bring your vision to life.
