We used Doherty Construction to build our boat dock and a boat house. We could not be more pleased with the final outcome!! The dock exceeded our dreams! We love it! Glen suggested a very different layout than we had planned and we are really happy with the way he built it! We have spent many hours out on it already. The boat house construction is solid and we've used it for so much more than we ever imagined!

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. My most common jobs are decks/patios, bathroom and kitchen remodels, tile and hardwood floor and HardiPlank siding jobs. I also do quite a bit of sheetrock repair work. I enjoy building boat docks and boat houses quite a bit!
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love seeing the finished product! Starting with a room that is old and completely changing it and updating it--creating a new room for the customer and seeing their excitement when it is completed is absolutely work all the hard work!
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. My PaPa (Grandfather) was a carpenter. He taught me from a very young age how to do just about everything I would ever need to know!
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. I just finished a kitchen and dining room tile job where I also put recessed lighting in the dining room and redid the bar area with tile matching the floor. I tiled the front door entry hall, created an arched entry from the garage door into the dining room, tiled by the back sliding patio door and created a custom tile area in front of the customer's fireplace that they were extremely pleased with and I couldn't be happier about having done! It really turned out awesome!
