Big Kuntry is by far the best DJ service around! We have been fortunate enough to attend a handful of social events in which BK (Big Kuntry) has DJ’d and provided Karaoke services. I remember the first time we attended an event hosted by BK. I had never done Karaoke before…I really didn’t want to get up there and sing in front of all those people. As it turned out, I wasn’t the only one. Thanks to BK, the party never skipped a beat. Once the Karaoke started, BK stepped in and sang a song or two himself. This really helped to loosen up the timid crowd. It wasn’t just the fact that he broke the ice by singing; he knew exactly what kind of songs to sing in order to get the crowd out of their shells. Sometimes he’ll whip out a good ole favorite that everyone knows, and others it’ll be a funny song that gets everyone laughing, rolling, or blushing. I was reluctant to take the microphone for the first time. That’s when BK stepped in and helped me along. It is really comforting to get up and sing a song knowing that you have the safety net of a professional to help you out. Once I became comfortable with it, BK stepped back and let me entertain the crowd.
I’ve been to a few small setups at some bars and such. This is NOT anything like that. You don’t have the little 5 to 6 inch screen to squint at and try to read. BK’s screen is perfect. It’s not too small to read, nor is it too big to keep you from seeing the crowd. The speakers are BIG and they make you sound like a professional! As well, I’ve never seen anyone ask to sing a song that BK does not have.
I know that anytime I am going to need DJ or Karaoke services for a party, I will always call Big Kuntry! I guarantee that you won’t be disappointed if you do the same!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Always notify your DJ about anys changes that you have. I always try to make each party or wedding as personal as possible. It just seems to make everyone more at ease. I also try to have my rates set as reasonable as possible. If at all possible, I try not to let money be the reason someone doesn't have a DJ at their function.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I would want to know about the music availability and the if karaoke was to be provided, I would make sure that play lists were provided and put together in alphabetical order to make it easier to search.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Will all equipment be provided? Can you play only certain music that we request? Can I have both MP's and karaoke done at my party/function? Can you move locations if my wedding is in one place and the reception is somewhere else? Will you stay past the time agreed upon if we needed you to?
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Always make sure to contact any DJ that you are considering soon enough that they can get play-lists together. Also, inform them immediately of an changes such as change of date, time, or venue. Also keep in mind the time that it takes to set-up and break-down equipment.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I try to make each gig as personal as possibe and I also throw in some comedy from time to time. Making people laugh always makes me feel better. If I am hosting a karaoke party and people are reluctant to sing, I will sing some and that usually gets people more comfortable. No one ever wants to be the first to get up in front of others. All my playlist are in alphabetical order by song title and also by artist last name so it makes it easier to do searches.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love being around people and having a good time. I have a great love for music also and this just goes hand in hand with get-togethers. I love seeing people smiling and having a good time. Its great to see someone who said they were not going to sing karaoke, and then they become the one that you can't get the mic away from.
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. I was asked to DJ an anniversary party for some friends. When I arrived, it turned out to be a suprise party for me planned out by my wife and some great friends. That also turned out to be the last party that my friend Susie ever got to plan before losing a battle with cancer. I will carry that memory with me forever.
