- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Definitely ask for a demo reel. Sometimes a production company can be good at selling but not very good when it comes to the actual production. Always be aware of those that tell you they can offer you Hollywood quality effects. What is a Hollywood quality effect. Are they going to blow something up? Ask about the equipment they are using and then google it. Sometimes a small camera can be very professional. Sometimes a large camera should have been retired a long time ago. Or...sometimes a small camera is best for birthday parties. Ask them if it's a 3 chip camera. If it's only a single chip camera the quality will not be that good. The exception? If it's a DSLR camera. This camera will look like a camera you take pictures with. But the quality will rival a $20,000+ camera.
