Introduction: What our clients tell us is that they can really tell The Pet Palace is a family owned business vs run by a corporation somewhere else. Our place is always clean and smells great. When the pets arrive, they run towards the kennel door - seriously, just come in and you can watch them! They like that we are involved in helping rescue group provide homes for pets that are permanent ones due the big discounts we offer all adopted pets. Everyone here really loves what they do and have really big hearts. We treat all clients no matter who they are equally, to us, everyone is a King or Queen. We love hearing the clients share with us the various ways they can tell their dog is excited once they determine they are on their way here. some figure it out before leaving their home, some on the way here but all of they know it by the time they pull in to our parking lot! The other thing we really like is to being able to help the many Pet Parent find a food that not only does their pet really enjoy eating but provides them with so many benefits that they have been missing from their current food. And last, we really love to hang out and watch all the various groups playing out in the Group Play yard and Swimming Pool!

How did you get started doing this type of work?
We have always had a great love for animals, dogs & cats specifically. Years ago we use to travel and had a difficult time finding a place that was spacious, clean and did not smell with a caring & knowledgeable staff. We had tried to keep our dogs at the vets but they came home sick several times due to the other sick pets staying there as well. We were contemplating a career change and decided that we would get our toes wet by starting out pet sitting and became the Clearlake / Pearland / Friendswoods first pet sitters over 18 years ago. We continued to do that and after 3 or 4 years we decided to start looking for land to build a facility we would like to take our dogs / cats to. We toured facilities all over the U.S. before we finalized our plans to build. The rest is history!
What types of customers have you worked with?
The Pet Palace is a full service pet facility. We offer Boarding, Grooming, Training (Behavioral, Basic, Foundations to Agility and Canine Good Citizen) and Doggie Daycare. We have a Limousine for Pick Up/Delivery for those who are short on time. We also have a complete line of Pet Food & Supplies from beds, bowls, collars & leashes to Food. We stock over 35 Top quality brands of food including Frozen, Can, Freeze Dried, Dehydrated and of course Kibble.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you are looking for a place to leave your furry friends I would do your homework. Tour several facilities in there entirety. Rate it on Cleanliness, Caring Professional Staff, amount of space for your pet to get out and run around, how long do they get to spend out doors, will they be fed quality food, and above all, anyone can write anything on the internet so don't believe what you read so the real test would be while visiting, ask the clients that are coming and going what they think? Are the dogs wagging their tails? There is your real proof of the pets experience!!
