- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I wanted to let the consumer know how Thumbtack works and what has changed. The pro pays for leads. However they(Thumbtack) now made it so my services are required to have instant booking. Instant booking cost more per lead(a lot more), therefore I'm forced to charge a diagnostic fee for every instant booking I receive. My diagnostic/estimate fees are the following: Pool: $125 Stand Alone Hot Tub: $125 I want to be as transparent as possible to y'all in regards to my pricing. If you choose instant book and cancel there will a $75 cancellation fee due. Thank you for hopefully understanding. Andrew Delta Pool Service, LLC
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If your looking to have equipment repaired on your pool or hot tub, ask if they’re licensed. Texas requires all pool/spa repair technicians to have their R.A.I.L license in order to work on ANYTHING electrical in regards to pool/spa equipment. Also inquire if they have general liability insurance. A lot of self employed technicians will not have that coverage. While I am Delta Pool Service, I have all the above.
