I work with the homeowner to help them get a great pool. I am there from start to completion of a project.
My job is consulting and supervision of sub-contractors to get the best job done, and to get the lowest price I can for the homeowner.
I charge for consulting and supervision. The homeowner pays the amount the sub-contractor charges and the cost of the equipment. Therefore, the homeowner saves thousands on a project. I work for the homeowner, not for the sub-contractor.
