A. I would say to ask questions. Make sure that the person that you are interested in doing business with is knowledgable about the industry and has a good reputation within the community. i always say proof is in the pudding. Try or test the product or service before you fully commit to doing business with the company.
A. In my case most of my customers wish that they could cook and I say that everyone has it in them you just have to bring it out. Start small, practice cooking your favorite dish and once you have perfected that move on to another. Be a student of food. I don't mean grab a book and study, but sometimes that could be beneficial to, rather be adventurouse, try new things whenever the opportunity presents it's self. Eat with your senses absorbing all of the colors, smells, textures and taste of what ever you have before you.
A. 1. What are your qualifications? 2. How long have you been in the industry? 3. Do you have any references and may I contact them? 4. What kind of customer service do you offer? 5. What services do you offer? 6. Has there been any complaints filed against you?
A. For me some basic things would be: size of the event (how many people), whether the event will be a plated afair, buffet, cocktail party or drop off, what budget do we have to work with, type of food you would like and if there are any dietary restrictions, time and date of the event. If a potential client comes armed with this basic information we will be off to a flying start .
