You are never too old and seldom too young to begin playing the violin. I began playing the violin at the age of three and have taught privately for over 10 years. Having earned a degree in Education, English and Music, I also taught for several years in PISD. Thus, I draw upon a wide variety of teaching experiences.
I began my violin studies with Suzuki pioneer Julienne Slaughter, studying under her for 15 years and performing at concert halls throughout the Northwest. I have taken all of the Suzuki teacher training courses, and build upon my continuing education each year with classes at the ISSI (Intermountain Suzuki String Institute). I take students as young as 4 and offer very competitive pricing. I also offer a free consultation where you can come to the studio, meet me and decide if this is right for you.
