It's hard to argue with success.

Companies large and small have benefitted from my creative and marketing-driven approach to design. Every project begins with a firm understanding of the target audience, message, benefit, and goal of the marketing tool to be developed and ends with a unique and creative solution that makes the client stand out from the crowd.

Despite my extensive experience, my rates are reasonable and I am pleased to work with companies of all sizes in any industry.

I am expert in working with the Adobe Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, and GoLive.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Traditionally, my most common types of jobs has been logos and brochures. Increasingly I am doing more website design and other electronic communications.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Even though my work has won many awards, creativity for creativity's sake is not the moving force behind my design.
Every project starts with a firm understanding of the target audience, the message, the customer benefit, and the goal of the marketing tool to be developed and ends with a creative solution that stands out from the crowd.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love to design. I have been in management positions in advertising agencies and at one point had my own design business with 18 employees, but I have returned to a simple business structure where I can focus on design and working directly with my clients.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Because I have worked with several well known and successful companies, the biggest question I get is "what do you charge?"
My rates are reasonable and easily affordable by almost all companies of all sizes.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I was hired by the baseball star, Dale Murphy and his staff, to design a book he had written. The client told me that prior to working with me, they had spent years working with designers, never finding anybody who could really solve their problems.
When I presented my concepts for the book design to Dale and his staff of 3 other people, they told me that I had just hit a home run and they gave me an ovation.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. My work with the University of Utah School of Music for their venue, Libby Gardner Concert Hall, has been particularly satisfying. In the world of musical performance venues or companies, it’s nearly impossible to distinguish one from another and to make matters worse, they all have the same dry look. Twelve years ago we set out to change that, creating brochures, banners, ads, posters and programs that branded Libby Gardner Concert Hall as a place where serious music can be seriously fun.
