FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't list my prices by the hour, because my prices can vary so much by each individual request and all the factors that come into play, such as; doing make up on several models for a wedding or shoot, staying all day for filming or wedding touch-ups, consultation/no consultation, travel fees, etc. Someone booking me out for an all day shoot or filming wouldn't be paying the same hourly rate as someone just hiring me for a one-person special event. I like to custom build a pice package for each individual client that will be the best deal for their event. To break it down though, I charge either by the hour (for longer events), or a flat rate for my services and my time. Since travelling in this city and to other boroughs takes up a lot of time as well and isn't free, I do have to charge for travel as well. However, I do welcome my clients to come to me if they would like reoccurring tutorials and want to save some money. My quote always includes my services, travel, and any necessary products I will need, depending on the service you have requested. Gratuity is not included but always appreciated. Feel free to message me with your details of your event so that I can give you an accurate quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Some clients hire me for one-time events, and some wish for re-occurring tutorials. Even those who hire me just for an event, usually end up calling me again for another event. For weddings, I like to have a consultation ahead of time just so that everything can run extra smoothly and so that we can approve the look ahead of time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Just experience working in the industry for so many years. An education in cosmetics isn't really necessary in order to do amazing makeup work.
