A. Look for an investment advisor or financial planner who is financially motivated to provide the services you the customer wants the way you want them. Find out how long the provider has been in business with their current company. Ask what the providers educational background is. Does the provider have a succession plan?
A. Many finanical planners or investment advisors have not aligned their financial motivation with what the client wants. The National Assocation of Personal Financial Planners (NAPFA) is an association of planners/advisors who are compensated on a fee-only basis (they are not compensated by commissions). These advisors have aligned their compensation (financial motivation) with what the client wants. Look for a NAPFA Advisor.
A. How are you compensated? Are you a member of NAPFA? How long have you been in business with your current company? What education do you have? Are you a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certificant? What is you long term performance history? Are the returns you publish actual returns or back tested?
A. I enjoy helping people meet their finanical goals. Also, I enjoy being able to provide a service (generally only availabe to the rich and/or famous) to clients who often times are not classified as such. Due to our unique business model and niche we are able to offer our services to a wide range of clients not just the affluent.
