Lonni's work has been used by Ralph Lauren/Polo to decorate corporate offices and flagship stores, by national publishers and magazines as covers, and on TV and movie sets. Her portraits feature a flawless likeness and a timeless style. Horses and equestrian life are also a specialty.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Take a close look at the portrait portfolio. How good is the worst face, the worst painting? That may be the quality you get. Can you live with it? Be sure to see enlargements of the faces and make sure that this artist produces flawless likenesses every time.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Modernism has destroyed the teaching of traditional drawing, painting, and sculpting skills. Almost no one educated since the 1930's can turn out work as good as a so so journeyman artist of an hundred years ago. Most of the living painters who are working superbly in the traditional manner either studied in a private, probably uncredentialed atelier or studio, or is self taught. These people are almost as scarce as hen's teeth. Furthermore, they are usually persecuted or ignored by the modernist dominated art establishment and educational institutions.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Where can I see your work? What do you work from; life, photographer's photos, or artist's photos? How many sessions required of the model? How long does the painting take to complete? Will we see it part way? What if we don't like it? Does it come with a frame?
