Introduction: Martha Mitchell, principal and president of Workhorse Architects, PLLC, has twenty years of architectural design, project management, and construction management that began in Utah and expanded to various parts of the U.S. She has worked on judicial, educational, governmental and commercial projects, as well as in diverse residential projects ranging from multimillion-dollar Virgin Island homes to multifamily housing and accessibility projects. Her expertise includes recreational facilities, city parks, aquatics centers, and even historic projects. She uses the machine as a workhorse for three dimensional design conception and visualization through model building information construction documentation, while routinely generating cost estimates, code analysis, specification writing, and integration of structural, electrical and sediment and erosion control systems. She has authored studies of site selection analysis, master plans and building renovation and published several articles and books.
