Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I think its important to have a dentist with some experience. They call it dental practice, because with each year and with each experience the dentist improves the his or her skill set. A brand new dentist may have only done the procedure you are considering a few times. He might be good, he might need more practice. I would also recommend getting referrals from an endodontist or a dental laboratory. They see a lot of dental work from many dentists and are able to critically evaluate the level of quality. They also probably have some insight into his personality and experience.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Be careful with cosmetic dentistry. It has the power to be among the best things you do for yourself. But it has to be done correctly. There is a very wide range of skill and experience levels with cosmetic dentistry.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How long will my treatment last?
If things don't turn out the way that I want, how will it be handled?
If my insurance company pays less or more than expected, what can I expect?
How do you handle emergencies?

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. We have many people that want to know how to whiten their teeth. We recommend 3 options. First, over the counter whitening strips. Second, at-home custom tray whitening. Third, Deep In-Office Bleaching. All options will make your teeth whiter. The difference is in how white, and how quick.
