Introduction: I am one of few foreigners to have graduated with a Master's Degree in Chinese Medicine from one of the top schools in China, and I lived in China and Japan for over 7 years. I practice acupuncture, East Asian and Traditional Chinese medicine, herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, Tuina (medical massage/physiotherapy), guasha, and other therapeutic methods. I am currently a PhD candidate at Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, the oldest and top school of Chinese Medicine in China; a U.S. Delegate and Council Member of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies; and an international speaker and author. I am Nationally Board Certified by the NCCAOM and hold current credentials in Utah and Florida.
I am also a martial arts teacher -- 7th Degree Black Belt Master with over 35 years experience teaching traditional martial arts, karate,Tai Chi, meditation and Qigong. I have been a member of the US National Team, competed twice in the All-Japan Tournament in Tokyo, and placed 2nd in the International Karate Association World Tournament. Furthermore I have taught worldwide to Law Enforcement and Government agencies, teach self defense for women, arrest control techniques, etc.
I focus on the entire well-being of my patients and offer treatment for numerous conditions and difficult disease patterns, in addition to acute pain and injury rehabilitation. In Chinese it is said that "the superior physician has no sick patients"
The entire well being includes the practices of meditation and movement to nourish the spirit as well as the physical body. I have practiced meditation for over 40 years , and am a Zen Buddhist.
