- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It isn't complicated but here it is... I do Design Consultations for $250 (I often run specials for $75). A Design Consultation is when I come to your home for an hour or so and walk through all of the rooms and give you tips and ideas. You also get access to my designer discounts. This is ideal for the "do it yourself" personality. My hourly rate is between $60-$70 an hour for larger projects. For smaller ones I prefer to give you an estimate. I also have several packages available starting at $95.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
When hiring an Interior Designer, make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Get an exact quote for your project or an exact hourly rate. If you are on a budget, let the designer know so they can work within it or quote within it if possible. If you have anything specific in mind or a certain style you like, let them know upfront to make sure you are a good match.
