I am a piano teacher for beginning students. I am a music student at the the University of Utah School of Music. I have eleven years of piano lessons, and am currently taking lessons.

I teach music theory along with the lessons to give students a better understanding of the music. I prefer to teach kids. I enjoy teaching and would love to teach your kids!

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure the kid can stay still and pay attention for 30 minutes (the duration of the lesson). It helps also if the kid is really interested in taking lessons. Be patient, piano is an art that takes time to achieve (including consistent practice).

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Look for a teacher who performs (they have a certain passion about them) preferably. Definitely find a passionate teacher. That goes a long way in making the lessons enjoyable and making progress. All that said, the best way to test a teacher is to take a few lessons from them.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask people who've taken from the teacher how they felt the teacher helped them progress. It is hard to judge a teacher until you've taken from them and so the best people to ask are those people who've taken from them.
