I have been a piano teacher for over 40 years. I received my training at the hands of a wonderful teacher who became my mentor. His background included lessons from a teacher at Julliard School of Music.
Because he was so good I was willing to practice five hours a day, and eventually it paid off when I won the 1965 Young Artists competition for the State of Idaho. In that competition I played five pieces from works of Bach, Schubert, Chopin, Liszt and Griffes.
I have been teaching since that time in several states where we have lived. I will teach students of all ages but I would like to be able to specialize in teaching adults who want to keep the dexterity in their hands and their minds sharp.
