Where do I even start? We're over the moon about our experience working with Pablo and his family on our project. I can't say enough good things about it. Right from the beginning, we were on the hunt for a carpenter to build a bookshelf around our TV. We had a rough sketch of what we wanted and found some inspiration online. Pablo and his son came over to give us an estimate for the labor and a ballpark figure for materials. The big project was set to kick off a month later. On a Sunday just before the project began, Pablo went shopping for all the stuff we needed – lumber, caulk, nails, cabinet materials, paint supplies, saw blades, you name it – and dropped it off at our place. We had to front the cost for the materials, which turned out to be a bit higher than his initial estimate. But honestly, with prices going up, that wasn't a surprise at all. I had to make a few trips myself to grab some finer detail materials like stain for the shelves, door handles, and table grommets. The work started on a Monday and took about 5 days to finish. Pablo and his family are incredibly hardworking and they pay close attention to detail. They showed up on time every day, working from 8 in the morning until 5 or 6 in the evening, and they kept everything clean. Plus, they were super easy to work with and open to making changes as we went along. Having our own design and inspiration photos definitely helped, but our room is pretty big (18 feet by 9 feet), and Pablo really knows his stuff when it comes to cabinet and bookshelf carpentry. He'll let you know what's doable with the materials available, and you can collaborate to tweak the design as needed. Working with Pablo and his family was honestly a pleasure, and we're definitely planning on hiring them again in the future. Their prices were fair, and they even returned the extra lumber we didn't use at the end of the project. One thing to note is that it helps if you know a bit of Spanish since Pablo's English is limited. But when it comes to carpentry for built-in cabinets and bookshelves, he's a true pro.

Pablo was great to work with- and he got the job done quickly and efficiently. His wood working skills are detailed and precise. Pablo made large, solid shelving units in a couple areas of our house, as well as redesigning our front and side doors, adding molding and trim to finish out. He also updated our wood molding around the floors of the house and it all looks so nice! I would highly recommend Pablo/Martinez Carpentry.

Pablo and Rosa did a wonderful job on our coffered ceilings for both our living room and family room. They work efficiently with great eye for detail and delivered exactly what we wanted. Their son Javier was instrumental in our communication and kept everyone on the same page with expectations and progress. Such a kind family. When we asked them to also paint our trash receptacle cabinet before they left, they insisted to not charge for it! I didn’t know such kind and reliable contractors exist these days. Will certainly reach out to Pablo again for future renovations. Whoever hires them, please treat them kindly. I think so many contractors are jaded and closed from bad experiences that I just hope that doesn’t happen to Pablo and his family. They are gems!
