Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure you hire a professional licensed contractor. Do not choose your contractor based solely on price. Often times you get what you pay for.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Often when hiring the "cheapest" handyman or contractor, you end up with a guy working out of his truck. He has limited skills and is uninsured. You may find yourself having to hire additional professionals to complete the work. Ending up with a lot more effort and money spent than if you hired the right company for the job the first time.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. First find out if the contractor is licensed, insured, and bonded. Make sure they are able to perform all work necessary for your project, unless you are looking to be the General Contractor. Ask for testimonials and to see their portfolio. When it's a larger project, ask for referrals that you can talk to or see the work they performed.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. What they are looking to do. Do they want a full remodel, or just a slight makeover. When they want to start their project. What their budget is. What inconveniences they are willing and able to deal with.
