Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Don't be fooled with rates quoted for payroll services by other providers. Be sure to ask what additional 'hidden' costs you are subject to, and make sure you understand exactly what it is you are getting for these additional 'add on' fees!

A. Most payroll service companies hire employees without experience or knowledge of payroll. They serve as nothing more than data entry specialists. When seeking a payroll provider, make sure that your busniess will be served by someone certfied and/or trained in payroll processing and payroll tax preparation and filing.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. It is never recommended that an employer handle their payroll internally unless this employer or staffer is experienced and knowledgeable about the ins and outs of not only reporting and procesing payroll (the easy part), but making 941, 940, FUTA and SUTA deposits timely, and handling the preparation and filing of required tax returns accurately. Be sure to ask your payroll provider, or the representative assigned to your payroll account, how long they have worked in payroll, and how much experience and knowledge they have in these particular areas.
