Give the gift of guitar lessons! Personalized gift certificates available! – Dec 12, 2011 at 7:23 am
Thanks to Thumbtack for featuring me in their Spotlight! http://bit.ly/mRNHPS – Oct 07, 2011 at 5:22 am
When a student takes six guitar lessons with me, I donate a new guitar to a disadvantaged child so that he or she may take lessons also. "Six lessons. Six strings. SIX for SIX."
While you're taking lessons, you can feel good that you're also giving lessons. The give-and-take "SIX for SIX" program is inspired by TOMS Shoes' founder, Blake Mycoskie, and his commitment to finding creative solutions to make a difference.

Thank you for visiting. Remember to have fun, and practice with a purpose!
A. Interview as many people as you feel comfortable with. You want to find someone who is professional, skilled and personable. Don't be afraid to ask tough questions.
A. It is ok to ask questions. Sometimes, customers might feel afraid to ask something "stupid" and seem like a novice.
Be bold and ask anything. A true professional will make you feel at ease and want to answer any question you have. After all, you're spending your hard-earned money. You should get the answers you want.
A. When taking lessons, you should know what kind of music moves you and what your goals are. Why are you taking lessons? Don't be afraid to be bold in your answer. We all start somewhere.
For repairs, you should know as much about your instrument as possible. Serial numbers, year of make, etc. You should also be able to describe either what's wrong with the instrument or what work you would like performed. A good repair tech will listen and help you verbalize your issues, but he/she can't read your mind.
A. I believe that I am a good patient listener and a great communicator. It's easy to find a guitar teacher who's a great player, but harder to find a guitar player who's a great teacher.
Also, I've introduced the GIVE+TAKE: Six for Six program. For every six guitar lessons a student takes with me, I will donate a new guitar to a disadvantaged child so that he or she may take lessons also. Six lessons. Six strings. Six for six.
While you're _taking_ lessons, you can feel good that you're also _giving_ lessons. The GIVE+TAKE: Six for Six program is inspired by TOMS Shoes founder Blake Mycoskie and his commitment to finding creative solutions to make a difference.
A. During guitar lessons, I love working with people one-on-one, sharing a skill that I love. And when I'm repairing or building instruments, I love working with my hands to create something tangible and lasting.
