I offer classic and affordable photography, in the tradition of fine art and photojournalism. Working in Charlottesville, Richmond and the entire Central VA region, I have over 10 years of professional experience, and my MFA from the Pratt Institute in New York. I specialize in weddings, children's and family portraiture, maternity, and more. I am not the sort of person who is particularly comfortable in front of the camera but Corey made me feel right at home. She has a wonderful manner about her that is both relaxed and easy, but also professional and direct. She was able to simultaneously materialize my ideas while also coming up with her own creative shots. And she made large family pictures easy. EASY. When does that ever happen? Corey's documentation of the wedding was great. She struck a fine balance between candid and posed photos, plus pictures of the setting and pictures of the guests. I've seen some wedding photographers that focus so much on the decorations and the dress that the photos of the wedding end up dry and impersonal, looking like they came out of a design catalog. Which is fine, but what I loved about Corey is her photographs have an intimacy to them. And what is a wedding if not intimate? Overall, I am thrilled. Corey did great job, was super-flexible, worked with me in terms of digital files vs. prints, AND I could afford her. I lucked out when I found her through a friend of a friend. She's a hidden gem.
