James Lea is the ultimate professional. From start to finish, he worked to understand our needs and fulfill them. He was always on time, extremely knowledgable, and the finished product was superb. The commercial he shot for us is of superior quality. It is concise, yet emotionally powerful. We couldn't be happier. Do yourself a favor, and hire James and his top notch team. You won't be disappointed.

James Lea is a former student of mine. I have observed his productions since he began his career as an independent videographer years before digital equipment came on the scene.

Not only is James highly skilled technically, he is one of the best creative problem solvers I have ever met. In addition, he is also a true artist. For many years, his work has been recognized for its excellence by numerous editors at the "regular" national television networks, One editor at the Weather Channel commented that he could always spot James' footage

Most important is James' work ethic. He is an indefatigable professional who meets his deadlines under even the most trying circumstances and the most dangerous conditions imaginable. He has earned my highest endorsement.

We contracted Adroit Films to produce a series of television commercials for us to run on our local cable TV service. The work was incredibly well done! James communicated with us throughout the entire process and we were very pleased with the results.

We will be using Adroit Films to produce our next series of commercials. They aren't as cheap as the cable company, but the quality of the product is worth thousands of dollars more than we paid. We can't say that about the cable company.

James enjoyed meeting with Kirk Whalum, who he interviewed in 2011 for a project about Kirk’s marketplace ministry. The entire Adroit Films, LLC staff looks forward to the possibility of working with Kirk again in the very near future. Kirk tells us that he has some exciting projects in the near future, including some music videos. Take a look at his site to find out more about what he is doing.

James also used Maestro J’s Canon DSLR to shoot some footage of his performance on Sunday while running the live television camera at the same time. While it was a bit tough to run two cameras at once, James enjoyed lending a helping hand.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. We never have to go to work! We LOVE what we do and it shows in our productions!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. The most frequent question we are asked is "How much will it cost to produce our video?" The answer is not a simple as it may seem. This question is akin to asking "How much does it cost to build a house?"

The answer is, "It depends." Several factors go into the production of a high quality video or film. We need to know things like how long is the video, who is your audience, who will be providing the script, what kind of graphics will be involved, and more. Once we have the big picture, we will provide you with options and budgets to get your production completed.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. Ask yourself, "How much does it cost to build a house?"

It's kind of hard to answer that question without quite a bit more information, isn't it? You need to know how large the house will be, what materials will be used, how quickly should it be completed, and so on. The same is true for video production.

Clients understandably want to know what investment they will need to make in their video production. The honest answer is, "that depends." Now, this may seem like we are skirting the issue, but the truth is far from it. We simply need more information from you, the client.

The Adroit Films staff takes the time to get to know you, your goals, your wants, and your needs. We take this information and work with you to determine what kind of production will work best for you and what kind of budget will be needed.

Many of our productions come in under budget. Contact us through Thumbtack and we will work with you to produce exactly what you need in the most cost effective manner.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Film and television production is cool. Lots of people want to get into the business, and we are asked about how to get started. The best answer is to find someone to mentor you!

Several members of our staff have mentored many young, aspiring video producers, cinematographers, and filmmakers. Some of these young people have continued in the industry by attending film school or working as freelancers. A few have gone on to become some of the best in the local industry and we employ them on our productions.
