- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Its not complicated, only in the fact that for weddings & receptions I charge a little more. Also some for travel outside a certain amount of mileage. And all, if any "extra charges" will be clearly stated and noted on the contract we both sign and have a copy to take home. I only ask, to please call me during the hours of 9am ~ 8pm to ask availability, pricing, etc. or, please just email me the question. I can answer all questions through that or you can give me what would be a good time to call you. Thank you
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get into this line of work, while looking for a friend of mine's wedding reception DJ, one i called wanted $3000. for a period of 4 hours, now that only included the music, not lights,smoke...anything. So, what was originally a set up to simply cover his reception and not have anyone go broke (or get rich, depending on which end you were on). I decided after this event, that I loved it! I love interacting with people or just watching them have a great time, depending on what the people who planned the party wishes for me to do. And, I set my foot down, saying i WILL NOT charge a exceptional amount.
