We dont do run of the mill photography. We prefer photojournalistic shots mixed with moderately posed shots. Every bride wants that family picture but not every bride wants boring photos! We give you the best of both worlds! Mathy focuses on people and details. We try to capture every ounce of your big day we can! Photography is super rewarding. Just having people put up our photos as their facebook profile pictures makes us squeal! :) We're just so blessed to be working in a field where everything we do matters and helps people remember their most important events.

Mathy was absolutely SPECTACULAR and that's no exaggeration! They were extremely flexible with meeting by suggesting skype, which was essential because we live out of state. Also, they were very helpful when we were looking for vendors for other things, they offered great suggestions. All of our emails were answered in a timely matter. Even when we were trying to figure out areas for photos they really put in work scouting areas around town and then taking time to ride around with us to take a look at areas we picked and patiently answering questions and offering ideas and suggestions for the best outcome. On our actual wedding day they were great team players when it came to working with the videographers for certain shots which helped save on time, so we could enjoy the reception more. We received our photos on time and they came out GREAT!!! They were just amazing to work with and never hesitated to go the extra mile. Matt and Kathy are a really great couple to work with and we couldn't have asked for a better photography team to help make our day perfect! Lastly, you couldn't ask for a cooler name than Mathy Shoots People!

My husband and I, and everyone at the wedding, LOVED Mathy Shoots People. They are fun and creative. They really took the time to capture every detail of our wedding. They also did an amazing job of capturing all of the candid moments that allow you to look back on the day and remember how special and beautiful it was. I have had several people ask me who took our photos because Mathy did such a great job. I couldn't have ask for a better day and a better couple to capture it.

Working with Mathy Angel was very fun, professional and the best decision we made for our wedding. They were tons of fun to work with, smiling all the time. They went above and beyond any other photographers would, in our opinion. They were energetic and took amazing shots!!! Simply put, we're very lucky we found them. We LOVE Mathy Angel!!!!!

FAQs

How did you get started doing this type of work?
Matt and Kathy got married in 2010. They hired a photographer who was outstanding and very informative. While Mathy had always been interested in photography, we had never really thought about doing it professionally until our wedding and until we met that photographer. We'll always credit him as our jump start to follow our dreams. After that we quickly bought a DSLR camera and started doing shoots. The rest is history! :)
What types of customers have you worked with?
Weddings! :) We're primarily wedding and engagement photographers but we LOVE maternity, newborn and family shoots as well. We're up for anything!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Search! Search! Search! The only way to know exactly what you want is to look at all your options. Do not settle for a wedding photographer. Those photos will be one of your most cherished possesions for the rest of your life! Make sure you hire someone who's work you LOVE and that you feel comfortable with! Also - dont settle for 3 hours out of your day being covered. Some of our brides didn't think they needed the salon shots until they got them. Even if you dont think you'll need to remember the mimosas and getting your nails done - you will! Hire an all day photog! :)
