From 35 years of actual experience, I provide a variety of services; flooring, carpentry, plumbing and electrical.

I redesign and organize closets. I move walls. I drywall and paint. I do custom carpentry work. I install baseboard & crowne molding. I install exterior & interior swinging and sliding doors. I've built large garden sheds, pool houses and decks.
I install all manner of electrical appliances, switches and outlets, lights and fans.
I install utility, bath and kitchen sinks, disposals, vanities, cabinets and countertops.
I do most anything that doesn't require a permit.

I charge by the hour and don't charge any markup for materials other than the time to get them. I have many references you will want to contact to see that I am conscientious, skilled, detail-oriented and full of helpful ideas.

  Love, love, love Sam!!!!! You need not hesitate to hire Sam to do anything. Sam is not only an excellent handyman; he can repair, replace, design just about anything you would like. He is a true professional; dependable, hardworking and most importantly "HONEST"! His workmanship is superb. Sam has replaced numerous floors, replaced cabinets, installed hardwood floors, built a deck, replaced front and back doors, replaced slider, painted, plumbing work, electrical work......... and the list goes on. Every home needs a Sam.

  Sam is a rare find. He is a skilled craftsman, professional, capable and pleasant. He has done the flooring for our kitchen and worked through a list of repairs around our house and rental property. He arrives on time, brings everything he needs, offers great solutions and does a perfect job.   As a professional contractor myself, I am fully aware of TRUE workmanship and my own capabilities. I hired Sam to install hardwood flooring/painted risers on my steps in my townhouse because this is a focal point in the house and one that I was not confident with making perfect. The steps were covered with cheap carpet and squeaked like crazy. I knew exactly where to turn for some TLC for our home. I had seen Sam's work and heard nothing but positive feedback about his finish product, so I knew right way that I would be hiring him. I didn't flinch at the price, (which was competitive considering there are 2 pie-shaped steps involved), because my focus was on the durability, professionalism, and meticulousness that I knew for certain I'd receive. I was completely comfortable leaving Sam alone in our house all day even after just recently meeting him.
  
  The work turned out flawless as expected, with absolutely NO SQUEAKS!! The stair nosing matched the other pieces perfectly and it was glued and nailed down making it incredibly solid. The only bad thing is that now we won't know if someone is sneaking upstairs, not even the cat! The job was completed in one long day and everything was vacuumed and left better than he found it that morning. Sam's passionate work ethic is phenomenal, and if you hire him you have NOTHING to worry about.

  My husband and I struck gold when we found Sam Axton! We were referred to Sam by a friend after interviewing 8 differrent companies to update our 1910 master bathroom. Sam installed a beadboard ceiling, installed cabinets and reworked a wall cabinet, took care of plumbing, new toilets and sinks, plastered the walls and put in crown moulding with the most beautiful mitered corners. He has also taken care of trim on outside of the house. Our bathroom is beautiful! Sam is honest, and takes great pride in his workmanship. Something hard to find these days. He works fast and listens to what you need. We will be having him back for our next project.

  Sam Axton of Axton Handyman Services has been working for me for over 5 years on many large and small projects. These have included: Vinyl Flooring, Carpeting, Laminate Flooring, Indoor Furniture-grade Carpentry, Electrical Wiring, Decks, Fireplace Hearth Installation, Utility Building Construction, Exterior Door Replacement, Caulking, Drywall, Painting, and Staining.
  
  Every job has been done to my complete satisfaction and at a very reasonable price. Most importantly, Sam has always given me a good estimate of how big a job is likely to be and has always finished it at about the estimated cost (in dollars and/or hours). He is also very good about telling me when he thinks a job is outside his capabilities. (Not many are.)
  
  I have no reservations about recommending Sam for your next Handyman project.
  
  The best way to make use of Sam's many skills is to save up a list of projects so he has enough work to fill at least a day or two.

  Sam is the Best! He's conscientious and meticulous.
  His standards are higher than my own, and he's not satisfied until the job is done to his standards! He's totally trustworthy. This I know because he installed a kitchen floor for us while we were on vacation and when we returned, voila, we were greeted by a beautiful new kitchen floor.
