Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. My most common photography work is with families of all ages. My portrait work ranges from maternity and newborn to high school seniors and full families. When working with families, I like to capture the individual personalities of people as well as that of the entire the family group.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Your final images will turn out best when you are able to relax and be comfortable while the photos are being taken. So it's important to find a photographer who you trust is experienced in their craft and in their vision. You will also want to find someone who you "click" with in personality. Finally, look for someone who has testimonials on their website so you can see what other clients are saying about the photographer so you're also able to see some unbiased opinions.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I believe I have a vision of how I want my images to look. I want my images to be:
* captivating: to have viewers look longer and deeper into the image to see what they might not have seen originally
* unique: to see from a perspective that most others don't and create images that most others can't
* dynamic: to capture the range from small detail to broad environment
* bold: in color, contrast, texture, and emotion
It is with these filters that I work to capture images that reflect your joyful life.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I am a creative person at heart so photography is a great outlet for me to create something new every time I work with another client. I enjoy the variety of people and locations that I encounter. Helping people see the beauty in themselves and seeing their reactions to the final images is always a heartwarming feeling too!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Many people are not familiar with working with a photographer because it is not something they always do. Many of their initial questions are simply about the process. How will it work, what do I offer, when do I get my images, what should I wear? I would ask the same thing! I'm always happy to walk through every step of the process with new clients. My breif answers are that portrait sessions are done on location in a place of the clients choosing. It could be in their home, a park, somewhere more urban, or wherever has special meaning to them. I do require a deposit to schedule their session. After the portraits are taken, they are usually available to see within 3 weeks. Any orders are placed at that time and are turned around typically within 1-2 weeks. As for what to wear, I have detailed guidance on my website but I find that it's most important to wear something comfortable and expresses who you are.
