Ted and his team are phenomenal and worked hard to make sure our wedding was special. All of the guests raved not only about the quality of the food but about the attentive service. My experience was exceptional in working with Ted at the Norfolk Grille. He helped me plan my sons' graduation luncheon in December 2013 at his location on York Street. Ted was professional and very detailed oriented which was great considering the fact that I lived two hours away from Norfolk. I wanted a place my family could have privacy after the graduation for about 36 people. We dined in the restaurant and the food was setup in the adjorning room which allowed us to move around and socialize. He allowed me to decorate the entire place the way I wanted to including putting pictures on the wall and took every step to ensure my guest were comfortable to include providing hot chocolate and coffee while they waited for the event to start since it was cold outside. When we arrived at the restaurant the food was hot and very enjoyable. I loved the chicken marsalas. Ted and his staff served every guest and individually went to every table to make sure they were satisfied with the food and had enough to eat. Overall, I loved the selection of food (quite an impressive menu) and the cost was very reasonable. Ted works within your budget. The location was perfect for us (in Downtown Norfolk within five minutes from Old Dominion University) and we had no problem parking which was free on the weekends. The luncheon lasted rougly two hours and the staff ensured all of my expectations were met. My guest indicated that they felt like they were at home because of the warm atmosphere. I think the main thing other than the delicious food that impressed me was the personalization Ted and staff had with my family. You cannot always get that in a restaurant. I would highly recommend services of the Norfolk Grille.

Ted catered an after wedding brunch in my home for about 40 people. I can't describe how pleased I was with the whole experience. The food was plentiful and delicious! Ted made omelettes to order on my stove for each guest. What delicious entertainment! Fabulous French toast casserole, celestial crepes with strawberries and cream, the list goes on and on. All served up by his lovely wife and her lovely assistant. Then they cleaned up my kitchen better than it was when they got there. I am VERY glad I selected them to help me with such an important event. Lorraine B.
