Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. As one of the only full time, professional organizers in Norfolk and the greater Hampton Roads areas, there are many reasons why my work stands out from the crowd.

I'm a listed member of NAPO, the National Association for Professional Organizers, and also the NSGCD, the National study group for Chronic Disorganization. As a member, I uphold standards of quality, such as a nationally recognized code of ethics, and a continuing dedication to educating myself and furthering my knowledge of the organizing field.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love that I am in a unique position to help members of my community through one-on-one education, volunteering, and offering classes on the environment, organizing, and various related topics.

Through my business, I can directly improve the quality of life for local families and promote sustainable living - something we all can benefit from!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. I hear something along the lines of "Does organizing work the way the TV shows present it?"

And the answer is no, it doesn't! Nothing is normal about 10 to 20 people coming into your home with lights and cameras to rifle through your things. They rush the job, press the clients to get rid of stuff, then sweep the rest of it under a rug (or into a storage unit).

It simply doesn't address the underlying problems of being disorganized!
