Do you have an event or function and in need of some quality entertainment? I have been performing in Charlottesville and surrounding areas for the past 6 years with great references.

I can fit my performance to your schedule of events. My juggling performance ranges from balls, clubs, cigar boxes, devil/flower stick, diabolo, machetes, torches, various balancing acts and more!

I have recently broadened my horizons to include animal balloons. I can work with larger or smaller crowds and will bring props to teach all non-dangerous or advanced tricks to anyone willing to try!

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I would advise to plan ahead and book as early as you know your function/events date. If you are looking for great entertainment for a specific date, you take the risk of your top choice not being available.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. No real secrets! Most importantly juggling is not just a simple 3 balls in the air. There are many different aspects to juggling including balancing acts to a large variety of circus arts props. Not all tricks are interesting to every individual, but there is definately something eyecatching or inspirational to everyone!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Generally I would need a flat/level area with at least 10 feet between the crowd and myself. The higher the ceiling the better. Certain tricks can only be done under a high ceiling or no ceiling. Most often, outdoor level space works perfect, weather permitting. No requirements for balloon animals.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I always bring full package entertainment to every event. I can plan entertainment around your event schedule and invite audience members of all ages to enjoy hands on participation with animal balloons and juggling 101 lessons!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Juggling is a blast for people of all ages. Not only can I promote good health with juggling excercise, but also give a building block to create better hand-eye coordination for all future activities.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. 1. Why did you start Juggling?
Answer - My baseball coach recommended I learn to juggle to build my hand-eye coordination. Once I learned the basic juggling pattern, I realized how addictive it can be!

2. When are you going to juggle fire?
Answer - At the end of the show of course!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. My first juggling gig! My childhood soccer coach and Pastor called me and asked if I could bring some bean bags and teach kids how to juggle for a small fee. They said it would be real relaxed and not to feel pressured to have a spectacular performance. I had never been on stage before and never really considered. Upon arriving, I noticed the flyers posted everywhere claiming a professional juggler was to perform. Of course as I'm looking for this guy, I realized they were talking about me! They shut down every ride and booth and announced the juggling performance. All 400 people attending the festival were now lined up and awaiting the Pro Juggler! After the first several drops, a young child in the front row piped up, "I thought this guy was a professional, why does he keep dropping them!" A quote I'll never forget! The performance was certainly not my best, but I did learn a great deal. Performing, just like juggling, when you drop the ball, keep your head up and keep trying. Even "Pros" make mistakes!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I love what I do. I wish I could do this full time, but I do have a Mon-Fri career. I enjoy meeting new people and giving inspiration to people of all ages. This is my passion and I strive to leave every audience satisfied.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I juggled as a hobby until I realized how fun it was to share an experience with a group of people. Nothing is as exciting as feeling the energy from a crowd enjoying what you are showing them.

Q. What are your most common types of jobs?

A. I do majority small party, festival, fair, parades, trade shows, backyard cookouts, etc. Most of my performances are geared toward children, but I do shows for all ages and all types of businesses.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I put 100% into every performance and naturally I'm proud of all of them. My favorite is the yearly Charity Chili Cookoff in Louisa County. It is near Halloween every year at the Earlyhouse. It's a good time, great chili, live music, and best of all, it is all 100% for a great charitable cause.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. This is an abnormal question for a juggler! I do practice every day and I am constantly looking for the next great juggling invention, but no real class work other than studying performance films.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Props are changing everyday as well as the possibility of new tricks. Still working on the next big juggling invention! There will be posts all over my website when that day comes!

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. Again, this question doesn't necessarily apply to a juggler. All my projects end up the same. It involves a new trick, a lot of time and practice, and surprisingly professionally weighted juggling props are a little bit expensive.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. Pricing does vary depending on the type of show, how many hours, and travel time. Usually I book a minimum of 1 hour at $150, but for close events, it could be cheaper and longer travels may cost a bit more. I do have large discounts for longer multiple hour events. Contact me directly for pricing.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Don't wait, start now. There is no age limit in my profession and the younger you start the easier it is, but I have successfully taught an 80 year old how to juggle, so it's never to late! The only other advice is to practice, practice, practice!

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. Will you give private lessons or only make animal balloons for an event?

I can do a juggling show for a group, teach a juggling 101 workshop, make animal balloons, or teach an animal balloon 101 workshop. I can hold an event with the whole package or any part thereof. Call for further details.
