Our personal training and small group training sessions are designed to give you optimal results, by creating the ultimate functional human body. Our experienced fitness professionals modify each workout to the needs of our clients to provide individualized training. Our Focused Individualized Training Method© will help you develop a plan to achieve your goals safely and effectively producing amazing results, that last!. When you enter FIT you will be welcomed with open arms and not just by the staff, but the other members as well. You will never have to feel self conscious or nervous to walk into FIT. EVERYONE is welcome! We also do not do long yearly contracts. You just sign up for month-to-month memberships or packages that you are interested in. That's it. No strings attached. We will help you find the right program for your personal needs. We absolutely love helping people and seeing that smile on their face when they begin to realize they are making permanent changes.

Recently I had a problem with severe back and right leg nerve pain. I saw numerous doctors, chiropractor and been through two different physical therapy programs without much success. I had surgical consults suggesting that my best option would be to have back surgery, fusion of the lower three vertebrae of my back to stabilize the spine. I decided to hold off on back surgery only as a last resort. At the recommendation of a friend, I started working with Julia and her staff at Fit Richmond, following a daily core fitness and total body exercise program, including foam rolling. My back and leg pain has now gone away. Through exercise and diet I have also been able to lose weight. Even shoulder discomfort that I have had for years has greatly improved. I cannot express my gratitude; it’s like a miracle to me. Thank You, Fit Richmond

FIT was the only organization in Richmond that I could find that did not offer the "no pain no gain" approach to personal training. They offer classes and personal training on a spectrum from those looking for core strength development to "warrior" classes. FIT is focused on an excellent understanding of core body strength, flexibility, anatomy, and the importance of focusing on strength, muscle connections, balance, and flexibility as well as cross-training for those wanting a more rigorous program. I am working with Julia on developing core strength, balance, flexibility, and arm strength to complement my own walking and hiking regimens. After a few personal sessions, pain I had been experiencing in the hip area has disappeared and been maintained. Julia has a phenomenal understanding of anatomy that is essential to working with clients. I feel energized after each session and plan to keep working with her so I can continue my outdoor activities into my 90's!!

All of the FIT classes have been great for me, but especially CoreFusion. This class provides the substantial core workout that I need, with the stretching and stress relief I want.
