I've just listed my services on Thumbtack! Out of curiosity, has anyone used Thumbtack to search for anything before? – Oct 31, 2010 at 7:11 pm
I love life and the experiences we make of it.
I love the wind, the rain and the joy (and sometimes pain) of existing.
I love the ability to capture these moments we create, and place them in a bottle, in a box, frame or windowsill to remind our hearts that right there in that moment, we truly lived.
I am that kind of photographer.
I am Joy Cherie.
I have MBA and BA in fine arts; I am a wife and a friend.

Joy's work is amazing!!! I've used her as a photographer for both commercial purposes, events, and photo journalism. I'm a repeat client and I'm always amazed every time I hire her!

Joy did my husband and I's engagement photos. She is a fantastic photographer. Her professionalism and creativity make for a wonderful photographic experience as she is able to intuitively capture life's moments.

A. Anything to do with love :) Weddings, portraits, parents and their sweet little babies but photographs that really challenge me to look inward are the ones where people want me to photograph the love of themselves. A birthday, just when they find out she's pregnant with her first child...sigh, it move's me.
A. Look for someone whose ideals are similar to yours. Personality is everything. Beautiful pictures are of course a must and you should never short-change that but they should also be someone you could share a cup of cocoa with. Having this level of comfort enables you and the photographer to collaborate as a team for the vision in your photographs.
A. My work is beautiful but more than that my heart is sincere. I look to walk alongside people to create the picture they take of their life in their dreams.

A. I get to make lots of friends and give them pretty gifts :)
A. People often say, "You must loooove what you do!" I say "YES!"
A. I recently just finished a LOVELY project that I am just wild about. In my neighborhood, there is a mentorship program of young adults to middle school aged girls. As all the girls in the group are graduating and moving on to high school the mentor leaders decided that they would gift the girls a photography session.
This is where I come in.
Remembering how difficult it was back then to just love myself as I was, I decided to help the young ladies along their journey. Before the session I asked the young girls to answer three questions about themselves, things they love, things they'd want other's to love about them and we sat down and discussed them.
It was beautiful.
Those girls shared their depths and then revealed their souls straight to the camera.
Check out my blog for their session or e-mail me.
