We were looking for irrigation contractors. Estimates were pretty broad. We chose Salinas and Son because they had already completed work in Estates of Chancellorsville. I’m very pleased with the quality of equipment and workmanship! We had 8 zones and 34 rotors installed. The controller panel app is ridiculously high tech and easy to use! I had 3 other estimates and I don’t regret at all selecting Salinas and Son!

Excellent experience with Tulio and his crew (family!) We moved to Ruckersville 6 months ago and decided to invest in a sprinkler system. The HOA and the community we live in use a very talented irrigation company that has serviced this community for years. This company keeps residents very happy here. I researched this company and also Salinas, to understand the types of valves, fittings, tubing, spray heads and controllers each company uses. The consensus after looking at both was, all the parts used by each company were excellent choices. We are the first home to contract with Salinas and Sons and the first home to not just “go with the flow”. Tulio offered an extremely competitive price for what seemed to be a similar installation so we signed on. It was a little scary. Tulio answered a couple pages of questions that I had about the process. I shared my concerns about weather the grass would lbe torn up. He was patient and answered what I needed. His price did not include the exclusion meter from the County, but I called Greene County and found we could just buy it for $400 and they would drop it into the meter box once Tulio got it set up. He came out the first day and they worked hard to set all the pipes in the ground, get valve boxes installed and attached the fancy Rachio controller that reads weather underground and has all the convenience of online access. We can turn it on, off, or adjust the schedule from our phones. Tulio and crew had to dig the hole for the exclusion meter, and figuring out which meter setter the county wanted us to use took weeks, but we got it! Since this is the first time they worked in Greene County, there was a bit of a learning curve in setting the meter box and connections. The other Counties Salinas has worked in always had the County set up the box and connections. Tulio and his boys came out today did a stellar job. The meter box is ready to go and with a call to Greene County, the exclusion meter was installed. The system has four zones and the spray heads are amazing! The entire property is covered and we couldn’t be happier. One thing I wished I had when deciding on Salinas was a property I could drive by and look at, but he sent pictures instead. Tulio’s site on Thumbtack has about 30 great photos of his work. I highly recommend Tulio and crew, but watch out he’s about to get pretty busy in our neighborhood! He’s just contracted with two more neighbors and more that want him. Thank you Salinas and Sons!
