Thea has over 25 years of experience in interior design practice. Her expertise includes all phases of the architectural design process, as well as interior detailing, millwork design, the selection of finishes and furnishings and schedule and budget management.
She has managed a wide range of projects, and she enjoys having a variety of design challenges. Thea moves comfortably from $20-million commercial projects to working with an individual homeowner on a small renovation. She is an excellent programmer and space planner.
Her belief is that communication is the key to any good design and execution. She also incorporates sustainable design into every project as a standard of her practice. She works in both Tennessee and Virginia.

One Review for Miller Lane Studio
I recently completed a complete renovation of my kitchen/bath/laundry area of my 20 year old home with the help of Miller Lane Studio.
From our first meeting, Thea listened to my ideas and I told her I have a terrible time making decisions but basically knew what I liked. She helped guide me through a project that is not only beautiful, but functional...everything WORKS! Together we chose just the right colors, styles, and designs so that when it was done, it is MY kitchen, comfortable and completely meets my needs.
Throughout the process the majority of the time our design choices meshed. In a couple of instances, Thea was able to show me a better option and explain or show me exactly why it made more sense. Seeing everything now, she is a genius! The project looks put together, functional, and definitely something I never could have done on my own.
I also found Miller Lane Studio's fees to be very reasonable and always mindful of the overall budget when making recommendations. Plus, when finished with such a large project and be able to say, "I would do a thing differently..." is worth a million dollars!
