Every client has different needs and different goals. In the end, though, the way we think about our health leads to how well we take care of it.

My coaching philosophy is based on the belief that we have to evolve and change from the inside-out. You can't stick a gym routine on someone's forehead and expect it to stay there. I work with my clients to help you find the passion and desire naturally inside of you that wants to take better care of your health.

If you're looking to improve your nutrition habits, your relationship with food, make exercise a bigger priority in your life, recharge your own self-esteem, and find deeper peace with your emotional and physical health, I would love to work with you.

My Coaching Background:

I've lived with T1 diabetes and celiac disease since 1999. I am trained in David Rock's Results Coaches methods and program. I'm a certified personal trainer and Ashtanga yoga instructor. I published the book, "Your Diabetes Science Experiment" and have set 15 records in drug-tested powerlifting during 2009 and 2010. I believe my health is an evolving work in progress, and every new step fascinates me.

Diabetes Coaching:

Diabetes coaching is for those who live with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, and you're looking for coaching around balancing your blood sugar during everyday life, building stronger coping skills, and changing the way you think and feel about living with this disease.

Coaching Programs:
While some of my client's goals may need coaching for several weeks or months, others may only need a few sessions to get moving in the right direction. Everything is customized for my client. I work with people all across the globe via phone/Skype and e-mail.

Client Testimonials:

"Ginger has a special gift of sifting through all of the excuses my mind creates for itself. By opening up to her questions and strategies, I have had at least three very major revelations about my type 1 diabetes management, my eating habits, and my exercise habits. Open up to her, listen to her, think about what she is asking, and your life will change. Ginger is very talented at what she does, and I am so grateful to have found her." - Scott K. Johnson

"I do believe that Ginger was paramount in helping me to regain my confidence and feel truly supported in my fears related to getting pregnant one way or another. And in the end, with no medical intervention at all, in January, I found out that I was pregnant! It was so exciting being able to share this with Ginger and to know that it actually happened. Ginger's support and empowering nature was a true g-d send to me in my quest for self betterment and of course in getting pregnant. Thank you Ginger for everything!" - Amanda S.

"I am a former college athlete who had let years of working at a computer catch up to me. One day, I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe how overweight I was. I was embarrassed to go back to the gym being so out of shape and let that fear keep me from working out. When I started working with Ginger my anxiety faded quickly. I am just getting started but for the first time in a long time I'm excited to go to the gym!" - James Buck

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Most commonly, I work with clients on: developing a healthier relationship with food and overcoming emotional eating, making exercise a gradually regular part of their everyday life, building stronger self-esteem and self-respect, and learning how to build healthy coping mechanisms for managing Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, as well as other chronic illnesses.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. As a health coach, I bring a unique perspective and experience to managing health. I have both Type 1 diabetes and celiac disease. I'm a certified personal trainer, yoga instructor, and I've set 15 records in drug-free powerlifting. I've put my own methods to the test. At one point in my life, exercise and health was NOT a priority in my life. I worked to make those changes, and to make those new habits a permanent part of who I am.
