From day one, Jennifer made me feel safe and comfortable sharing more vulnerable parts of myself. She noticed special things that other people might not, like when my voice or my body language changed with emotion. She showed compassion by always listening to my needs, which varied session by session, and tailoring her coaching towards them. Through not only our conversations but through specific practices like body tapping, writing/speaking mantras, and Yoganidra meditation, I was able to grow my capacity to meet life’s challenges. Since beginning work with Jen I've felt really cared for, supported, and encouraged to grow into the best version of myself - all while dealing with an incredibly challenging life situation. Jen's broad and deep range of knowledge on techniques and practices from yoga to breathwork to mental health has allowed her to help me identify my core values, identify patterns of behavior through discussion of day to day activities and things from my past, and assist me with techniques and perspectives to cope with the challenges while at the same time growing into the person I want to become. I reached out to Jen for guidance during a chaotic time in my life. I was struggling with my health, unsatisfied in my relationship and burnt out in my career. I enrolled in Jen's Resilient Practitioner Program. Although therapy I had received prior to this was beneficial, Jen was able to provide a different kind of support. Her therapy background and somatic coaching mixed with yogic philosophy was just what I needed. I slowly began to learn how to listen to my body and become more aware of what it was telling me. While the work was not easy, it was very effective. After about 6 months working with Jen one-on-one and in supportive group sessions, I started to realize how far I had come. Now, I am passionate about my field again, on the way to starting my own business. I am happier than I've ever been in my marriage. I have built the resiliency to take on whatever challenges comes my way thanks to Jen and Mind Body Awareness. I have known Jen for a little over four years; working together on sustaining a grounding lifestyle, navigating the ins and outs of triggers and teachers, and diving into all that I am capable of.
