Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure the service provider is polite, respectful and professional. When you talk with them on the phone you should be able to realize they are someone you can work with or not.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. People who work in the drain cleaning and plumbing fields are in constant training mode. We are required by the state to take training classes every year. To become a journeyman you need 8000 hours under supervision and you must pass a state exam. The prices the customer pays for these professionals seems high but is reflective of the journey that is required for them to be effective at what they do.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Are you licensed, bonded and insured? Can I see the state contractors license on all of your advertisement?
Can you tell me how often you do this specific task?
