I am a very patient, understanding person, and I try to be a friend, a caregiver, and I make sure the elders keep their dignity and make as many decisions on their own as they can.
I really enjoy what I do, and therefore, get along well with the elderly and make visible strides in progress.
I have been in the care giving business for four years. On my last job, I worked for a lady who had dementia or Alzheimer's, and I worked for her husband who didn't really need care but had Parkinsons with medication which helped a great deal.
I made meals, bathed them, shopping, doctor appointments, went to coffee or lunch, went for rides, zoos for stimulation, did light housekeeping, administered medication, did laundry, and various other chores as needed.
I was working for them for two and a half years.
