I have been a client of Wild Hare Drum School for about 4 months now. The scheduling is great, and the payment plans and options are very convenient. The drum studio itself is spacious and comfortable for all ages. That said, Ryan takes the time to tailor lessons to your drumming needs. He doesn't preach any specific genre of music and is willing to listen to examples of what inspires YOU and then put together applicable lesson plans. I can honestly say that my drumming has improved drastically since practicing with Ryan (and dare I say even opened a few doors further expanding my musical interests). In conclusion, if you are willing to learn, have a passion for drumming, and want to get truly one-on-one drumming instruction from a consumate professional, then look no further!

On our way to get my three year old's hair cut, he plastered himself against a window looking in to a music store next door to the barber shop. "Wow mom, look at those boom-booms." I told him we could go inside after his haircut. When we made the trip in Ryan made us feel welcomed and let Ellis jam on a set of drums. Right away, I felt very comfortable. I signed my son up a week later. He has been having lessons with Ryan for six months. Not only is he a great drummer but a very patient, sincere instructor. I am so glad we walked into the "boom boom" store that day. I would recommend Ryan to anyone looking for drum lessons.

Be sure to see what each teacher can provide for you before you invest. It's important that you find someone who can make an effort to meet your needs as a student. Everyone has their own way of learning so it's key that you find someone who can address the area of drum instruction by offering you many different ways to learn. For instance if you learn by ear you need a teacher with the resources to drum simultaneously with the student and or who has recording capabilities to send you home with a recording to listen to. If you can read music then you need a teacher who can write out the essential rhythms for you to learn as well as send you home with a recording.
