I had the WORST job interview ever and decided to treat myself to a style consultation. It was THE best investment in my self-esteem I could have made. Don't be nervous - they don't criticize, they teach you what you need to LOOOVE your body. And to LOOOVE shopping!

Ronna is a wonderful, caring person who wants the best for others, and you will absolutely know and feel that after spending any time with her. She immediately creates an atmosphere of happy, caring acceptance with a genuine belief that you've got great assets, and it's just a matter of knowing how to show them off.
After hiring Ronna for a consultation, it's not only easier to shop & get dressed, but it's more FUN! I know what to look for and what to avoid and how to put outfits together that make people say, "Wow! I love that!" I'm more adventurous with my colors, jewelry, and combinations and it regularly pays off in the way I feel and the feelings I project.
If you have at all considered having some help you with your clothing & style, I would absolutely schedule a consultation with Ronna. You will be so glad you did!!

I had Ronna come to my house and go through my closet. After she got over my collection of athletic apparel (I am a gymnastics coach), she went through the remainder of my closet and educated me on colors, shapes and styles that work best for my body shape. I am an apple (I prefer to be labeled as athletic apple!),and Ronna put together outfits right out of my closet I would never have thought of on my own! It was a lot of fun and actually saves me money. Now when I shop, I look for colors and styles that work best for me. I highly recommend Ahead of the Curve to everyone!

As someone who has gone through a dramatic physical transistion this past year (lost 125lbs to date), initially I struggled to just figure out how to get through the initial transformation (lost about 60 lbs in 4 mo.) a friend recommended Rona. She supported my uncertainty with the interim transistion changes, was there for me as I got closer to my goal with both practical, cost effective clothing/style options and supported emotionally(a value added benefit)me as I put on my new physical identity. She is was highly respectful of my budget limitations, made it easy (I HATE dressing rooms, was TOTALLY lost in the racks of clothing departments I had never ventured into before) as I was very intimdated by the whole concept of "style" and safe for me to find my new look. I continue my transformation journey Rona remains a valuable and practical resource as well as a mentor.

A. Be interested in getting out of your box and trying new things. Be open-minded and unafraid. Do not wait until you lose 10 lbs to dress well. If you feel like a million bucks, the 10 lbs will come off. Playing with clothes is fun, there is no pressure to be someone you aren't. We'll have a great time!
A. Looking fantastic is all about knowing how to accentuate the positive and camouflage the negative, balance out figure disproportion, choose the right colors and mix them in interesting ways. It is NOT about being skinny or buying expensive garments.
A. Ask to see some makeover pictures. Ask about stylist's philosophy and follow your gut instinct about them. Read their website's fine print and get a feel for what they are really all about. Some personal shoppers just want you to buy stuff whether it really suits you or not. Find out what they know. Ask.
