FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet a potentially new student to determine whether we're compatible, and to find out how much they already know. If it looks like it's not going to work out, I won't charge for that first lesson.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 40 years experience as a working entertainer. I have performed both solo, and with various groups, or bands. I have supplemented this experience with formal classes in music theory and history.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
A higher price does not always mean a better tutor/teacher. Some will jack up their price per hour in order to make you think they are the best. You don't always get what you pay for in this instance. Remember that the only difference between a "professional" and an "amateur" is that a professional gets paid.
