Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Selecting the right photographer is SO important! Select someone who you get along with, you like their portraits, and their point of view. Select someone you wouldnt mind hanging out with on a personal level. Interview potential photographers, check out their portfolio, ask for references, etc... If their prices seem too cheap, it's for a reason.
Start as a client, but leave as a friend! That's how things always seem to go with me :)

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. #1 - I'm not Walmart, Sears or JCPenny's Portrait Studios. You will not get a session for $5.00.
I take pride in my work. I treat it like art. I want your portraits to be good enough to be hung on the walls. I want you to be proud to share them with everyone.
#2 - Buy cheap, buy twice! I have heard so many clients say "I wish I would have found you sooner"! I spent so much money at our local department store studio and the pictures were so boring.
#3 - I love ideas! If you have ideas, please share them with me! I want you to LOVE your portraits.
#4 - If you have children, select a time of day when they are most happy. Once you arrive with me, I will lay on the magic touches with your kids. You just focus on you, and I'll take it from there. Getting your portraits done, should be fun. Please don't threaten your kids, trust me, it doesnt help!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I pride myself on offering more than just portraits and photography. I love being able to offer my clients a unique service and product.

A. I am getting married, what do you charge?
My base price is $500, for Ceremony and Reception. That covers my time only.
I will bundle your price with a custom made package based on your needs and wants.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I started a business back in 2001, making scrapbooks for others. I would have booths at various craft shows, and I would always come home so disappointed. My husband finally turned to me and asked me why I wasn't doing photography. I laughed thinking that there was no way that someone would pay me to take their pictures. He made some valid points, and so we went out and purcahased a DSLR camera and I started learning everything I could. I taught myself everything I know. I have also been very blessed to have formed friendships with other photographers who have guided and mentored me throughout my journey. I spent a year building my portfolio and learning before I asked for a dime from people. I enjoy learning something new everyday. I love a challenge!

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I volunteer for Operation Love Reunited, which provides free photography services to deployed military service members. This organization has really made me proud to be an American. It's the least I can do to show my appreciation for the men and women who sacrifice so much for our country.
