Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask questions. Massage is extremely beneficial, but if you aren't comfortable with it you won't receive the same benefits. Educate yourself. We are always happy to answer any questions you have, either in person or on the phone.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. To an extent you decide what happens during a massage. If you are hot, cold, uncomfortable, let us know. If there is too much or too little pressure, let us know. We want your experience to be the best it can be and unless you tell us the you don't like something we don't know. It is perfectly ok to speak up.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask about price, style of massage, and what to expect during a massage. While talking to the receptionist or the massage therapist you should feel comfortable. If the answers you are getting don't make you feel comfortable and the person you are talking to isn't confident, then they aren't the person for you.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Do I even like to be touched?
If you can't stand the thought of being touched then massage isn't for you. Yes, we have some people grin and bear it, but they don't achieve the same results.
What are you here for?
Relaxation? Treatment? A little of both? Insurance billing requires massage to be medically necessary. You need a prescription from a doctor in order to use your insurance. So there needs to be something "wrong" with you. It can be as simple as headaches, or stress relief, but a diagnosis needs to be made by a qualified health care professional.
So basically if it isn't on your prescription we can't work on it unless we feel it directly affects the prescribed area.
